The wife and I have had a great deal of success on the slow-carb diet. A key component of this diet is one day a week, you take a day off and eat whatever you want, how much you want. Oh, the glory of the cheat day...

September 20, 2014
Day started with Cheerios, chips and golden birthday cake oreos (Beth also made me eat a pop tart she didn't like). After a workout, a shake, plus a huge bowl of fruit - triple berries, apples, and peaches (apples and peach were discounted at the grocery store).
Lunch was Famous Dave's Feast for Two - feast is right; it could easily service three or four, but we ate all the beans, ribs, pulled pork, slaw, fries, corn and chicken.
Later, it was some candy bars, an ice cream bar and those awesome Cap'n Crunch donut thingys.
Weight gain: Only 3.8 pounds. And btw, hit lowest mark of 162 pounds on Thursday, September 25, 2014.
