The wife and I have had a great deal of success on the slow-carb diet. A key component of this diet is one day a week, you take a day off and eat whatever you want, how much you want. Oh, the glory of the cheat day...

August 16, 2014
Surprisingly, I didn't gain that much weight. I believe it was the combination of no sweets (meaning no candy, I had stuff with sugar) and fewer calories in the morning. I started off with a bowl of Cheerios, followed by chips and salsa (no guac, hence the fewer calories) and a couple of cookies I picked up from the credit union yesterday.
After a workout, had a protein shake, some nuts, and some cookies.
Dinner was Bonefish, with flatbread Bang Bang shrimp, salad, fish & chips, and half a creme brulee (Beth got it and 'forced' me to eat it; forgot to take a pic). Later I had a big bowl of ice cream and some more cookies.
Weight gain: 2.8 pounds. That puts me at 170.6, which is my lowest weight on a Sunday (day after Cheat Day) that I am aware of).
