The wife and I have had a great deal of success on the slow-carb diet. A key component of this diet is one day a week, you take a day off and eat whatever you want, how much you want. Oh, the glory of the cheat day...

July 5, 2014
Started off with with faux crunchberries, followed by potato chips and Whole Wheat Fig Newtons (this is how we rationalize eating healthy on cheat day). Too much chocolate and sugar followed this.
For lunch, we were so on the fence - we have a bunch of gift cards, so we went to Panera. Got a turkey/bacon sandwich and ordered black bean soup. They gave me French onion. I went back to the counter and they couldn't take back the soup, and after giving me a bowl of black bean soup, told me to either eat the French onion soup or throw it away. Of course, I ate both.
Later it was some nuts, Pop Tarts and a mini-drumstick.
Weight gain: All that sugar adds up. To the tune of 5.2 pounds in the wrong direction.
