The wife and I have had a great deal of success on the slow-carb diet. A key component of this diet is one day a week, you take a day off and eat whatever you want, how much you want. Oh, the glory of the cheat day...

May 31, 2014
We were out of town, so cheat day started at my Grandfather's. I had cereal with strawberries and bananas, followed by some chips and vanilla wafers (I hadn't had vanilla wafers in about two years, so I was due). I also had an ice cream bar.
Lunch was at my mom's. She threw a birthday party for her husband (75!) which was on June 1, and her birthday, which was May 31. I, of course, forgot to take pictures of the food with my phone. But I did have a hamburger, hot dog, some vegetables, three types of chicken, some chili, some other stuff (my mom put together a pretty good spread; I can't remember what all else) and some birthday cake (natch).
When I got home, some ice cream and a nutty bar (like the vanilla wafers, I haven't had these in over two years).
Weight gain: Four pounds. Should be noted that the gain was from Friday to Sunday since I don't weight myself when out of town.
