The wife and I have had a great deal of success on the slow-carb diet. A key component of this diet is one day a week, you take a day off and eat whatever you want, how much you want. Oh, the glory of the cheat day...

So it was Mexican today, because we haven't had true Mexican in ages. Started off somewhat healthy with a kale, carrot, and walnut salad and a grapefruit. Had a Costco carrot cake cupcake (yum!) and then finished a bit of ice cream that was in the freezer. Also snacked a bit with some peanuts and candy corn.
For lunch, we had standard chips and salsa. I followed this with an enchilada, a burrito, a chili relleno, and a taco. At the grocery store, I ate some of the free cookies.
For evening snack, it was cookies, cashews and candy bars. It was a bit too much - I felt really full.
Weight gain: 4.2 pounds. Okay, this was a lot, and I suspect due to the (too abundance of) sweets. Still, less than last week, and I am under the plateau.
