The wife and I have had a great deal of success on the slow-carb diet. A key component of this diet is one day a week, you take a day off and eat whatever you want, how much you want. Oh, the glory of the cheat day...

Had a real hankering for Indian food (my favorite) so the plan was to go to Curry Mantra. We won't do this again for a while. Not because it wasn't good, but, well, you'll see.
Started off with a bowl of Cheerios, followed by a Little Debbie snack cake, some Chips Ahoy root beer float cookies (really good), and a Zero bar.
Curry Mantra has great food. Indian food does not look good, but it is amazingly delicious. Spinach, butter chicken, kabob, lentils, butter chicken, and other items were sampled. Dessert was rice pudding and a mango/fruit dish.
After I prepped meatloaf for Sunday and made items that I eat at work, I had some more of those cookies and a bowl of that macadamia nut, cookie dough ice cream. Still the bomb.
Weight gain: 6.4 pounds. What the hell? CM has lots of protein, but also lots of vegetables. I also had fewer starches than usual. On the plus side, this still put me at just a bit over 180, which still puts me in my preferred range of 175 to 180 for the rest of the week, under the plateau. Moral of this story - no buffet next week, and most definitely not Curry Mantra. The food is amazing, but now I'm going to be worried too much about weight gain there.
