The wife and I have had a great deal of success on the slow-carb diet. A key component of this diet is one day a week, you take a day off and eat whatever you want, how much you want. Oh, the glory of the cheat day...

January 25, 2014
Had some avocados, so the morning started off with guac and chips, and then followed by two grapefruit and an orange. I ate a bunch of cookies and a couple of candy bars; I couldn't eat all the candy bars, though. After a workout, it was a smoothie.
I hadn't been to CiCi's in a while, so Beth was nice was enough to humor me. Three plates of pizza and breadsticks were followed by their dessert. Now this dessert is should be considered a sugar shock - it's a dessert pizza with Bavarian cream and cookie dough crumbs. If that isn't enough, there is also some added icing. Their cinnamon rolls are also good, so I had a couple of those.
Later on that night, I finished off Beth's pecan pie along with a bowl of ice cream. This was after a couple more grapefruit (should it be grapefruits?).
Weight gain: 5.8 pounds. Ouch. I attribute this to the bread and sugar at CiCi's, since that was the main difference versus other weeks. Proof? Beth didn't eat nearly as much as me at CiCi's, she didn't gain near as much weight.
