The wife and I have had a great deal of success on the slow-carb diet. A key component of this diet is one day a week, you take a day off and eat whatever you want, how much you want. Oh, the glory of the cheat day...

November 30, 2013
Didn't hit this cheat day as hard, but that doesn't mean I didn't start it off with typical stuff. For breakfast, had some chips (no guac or salsa, so added hot sauce), pop-tarts, and some candy bars. After a workout, had some pecan pie (Beth made it!) and some ice cream. I figured that with all the pecans and ice cream that that would give me enough protein.
For lunch, we went to Olive Garden - I suggested a hot dog at Costco, but Beth convinced me that since we had a gift card and a coupon, we should go to Olive Garden. Had their salad and bread sticks. Instead of a typical Tour of Italy, got the Seafood Brodetto - lower calories, but tasty.
Sometime during the day it was surely more 'pumpkins' and peanuts, but to end the day, I had vanilla gelato and some more candy bars.
Weight gain: Only 2.5 pounds (only...!!)
